Jazz Legend John Stockton Endorses Staggs for Senate!

RIVERTON, UTAH – US Senate candidate Trent Staggs has been endorsed by John Stockton. In endorsing him, the former Jazz player said:

“In 2020, we saw how dangerous weak leaders can be. Among so many other things, businesses were forced to close indefinitely, and children were forced to wear masks. This is unacceptable, and very few spoke up and said ‘No.’ This is why I am proud to endorse one who did. Trent Staggs stood up to lockdowns and vaccine mandates when few were willing. We need more like him in the Senate. We need more like him in our country, willing to stand alone and protect individual liberty.”

Stockton is an NBA Hall of Famer, the league’s all-time steals and assist leader, and an Olympic gold medalist. He helped take the Utah Jazz to the playoffs in each of the 19 years he played for the team.

In response to Stockton’s endorsement, Staggs said:

“What an honor to have John’s support. He’s a legend on the court, and an even greater man off. I’m honored to have him on my team!”

Stockton’s endorsement is on top of the many others that Staggs has received, including from fmr. Pres. Donald Trump, Vivek Ramaswamy, Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.), Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.), and many others.

Staggs has spent 11 years in the Riverton City government, the last seven as mayor, where he was named the best mayor in Utah by the Best of State organization. Last May, Staggs became the first candidate to announce he was running for Utah’s Senate seat. In April, he won the state Republican convention with 70% of the delegate vote.
