MEET TRENT
Trent has served as Mayor of Riverton, UT since 2018, taking a business-minded approach to municipal government; cutting property taxes, reducing fees, and saving residents tens of millions of dollars. He has been consistently pro-liberty during the COVID lockdowns, has protected the right to life of the unborn, and pushed back on damaging “woke” policies like ESG.
He was also a candidate for the U.S. Senate in 2024, receiving the endorsement of President Trump. Beyond his public sector experience, Staggs has successfully led organizations ranging from Fortune 500 companies to small- and medium-sized enterprises, across the finance, technology, and energy sectors. He recently served on the board of an energy company he helped take public, securing a listing on NASDAQ in 2022.
He was appointed in May of this year by President Trump to serve as a Regional Advocate for the US Small Business Administration’s Office of Advocacy over a six-state region. He is part of an elite “strike force” that identifies and eliminates burdensome regulation across all federal agencies.
Trent received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah and an MBA from the Marriott School of Business at Brigham Young University. He and his wife, Alisha, are the proud parents of two children.

Heirs of the Revolution: Our Civic Duty to Restore the Republic
President Trump’s historic victory provides us a once in a lifetime opportunity to restore our republic to the same level of liberty our Founders gave us—a free people governing themselves, unburdened by an oppressive government and united by shared values.
Once a beacon of liberty and self-governance, our Republic has devolved into an oppressive, centralized government as a result of entrenched corruption, civic apathy, and moral decay.
In Heirs of the Revolution, Trent Staggs delivers a compelling call to action, reminding us that our hard-won freedoms were entrusted to us by the Founders as a sacred inheritance. It is not too late to turn the tide, but it will take courage and a high level of civic engagement on the principles that made America exceptional.
With a blend of historical context, modern-day examples, and actionable solutions, Heirs of the Revolution is a rallying cry for all Americans to reclaim their role as stewards of liberty. Staggs challenges readers to rise to the occasion, safeguard the principles that make America exceptional, and pass on a stronger Republic to future generations.
6 PILLARS
Restoring Citizenship
The value of American citizenship has been diminished, and we must reclaim the honor and responsibility it once carried. This includes addressing the lack of immigration enforcement, ending dual citizenship, embracing American Exceptionalism and ensuring that only citizens can vote.
Restoring Elections
Without faith in the electoral system, democracy cannot survive. We believe in restoring integrity in elections, through voter ID laws, campaign finance reform, in-person voting, and paper ballots.
Restoring Moral Governance
A moral and religious people are essential to the survival of a free Republic. We must address the degradation of societal values and offer solutions for renewing the moral and religious fabric of the nation.
Restoring Ownership
The Founders fought a revolution over property rights, and today we are losing control over the fruits of our labor through excessive taxation and regulation. We promote the protection of property rights in America while combating the deep state to get back to Constitutional governance.
Restoring the Family
The family is the bedrock of any great society, yet today it is under attack. We promote initiatives that strengthen the nuclear family, restore parental rights, and reverse the cultural decay that is tearing families apart.
Restoring National Defense
Defense should be defensive. We advocate for the maintenance of a strong military while avoiding entangling alliances and the unnecessary expansion of the military-industrial complex.
