RIVERTON, UTAH – US Senate candidate Trent Staggs is proud to announce that Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) will endorse him at a joint rally on Thursday, March 28, held at Riverton High School. Staggs said:
“I'm thrilled to have Congressman Gaetz coming to Utah. This election is about pushing back on the establishment politicians who have destroyed so much, and no one has fought the establishment more than Matt Gaetz.”
The first candidate to declare, Staggs is the America First frontrunner in Utah’s 2024 Senate race. Earlier this month, Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.) visited Utah to stump for Staggs, who has also received the endorsement of Kari Lake, Kash Patel, Ric Grenell, Utah Parents United, and many others.
Staggs has committed to seek the Republican nomination only via the approval of delegates in the April convention. The last 11 years Staggs has served his city of Riverton in elected office, seven of them as mayor. In 2023, he was named Best Mayor in Utah.
